CONSTRUCTION OF SECONDARY & TERTIARY DRAINS IN CHOTTA RAVI ZONE

The construction of conduit,secondary and tertiary drain costing Rs. 136.37 million benefited the areas of G.T. Road Tezab Ahata,Swami Nagar, Gorey Shah Road, Iqbal Road, Sultan Pura, Bilal Road, Wasan Pura Scheme, No. 2, Chah Miran Baghban Pura, Sher Shah Road, Shah Noor Park Road, Imtiaz Road and adjoining areas. Tezab Ahata, Swami Nagar and Chah Miran a population 4.5 Lac, have been served.The completed portion of this work has resulted in minimizing the chronic problems of overflowing sewers and stagnation of rainwater in the area. |

CONSTRUCTION OF SEWER & APPURTENANCES IN VARIOUS AREAS OF LAHORE

During the present regime, due attention has been paid to the neglected areas such as D-Block Tajpura, Part of Dargohawala Areas, Muhammadpura, Aziz Road to Chahmiran and Ichhra. Besides this 31 Nos. small sewer works have been completed. The expenditure incurred is approximately Rs. 49.5 million and benefited population more than 5.00 Lac |

LAHORE WALLED CITY CIRCULAR ROAD AND DRAINAGE PROJECT

WASA LDA planned a comprehensive project "Lahore Walled City Circular Road Sewerage & Drainage Improvement Project" to facilitate safe disposal of sewage and storm water from Walled City area. The project has 5 components as under:-
- Construction of Sewage Pump Station costing Rs.72.459 million.
- Laying of 48 inch dia RCC sewer line costing Rs.4.864 million.
- Supplying & Laying of 48 inch dia D.I. Pipe Line costing Rs. 110.565 million.
- Construction of Nothern Drain, Conduits, Box Culverts, Collecting Drains, Remodeling of High Level Channel & Cleaning of Low Level Channel costing Rs. 225.224 million.
- Construction of Southern Drain and desilting of old drain is yet to be awarded.

IMPROVEMENT OF SEWERAGE & DRAINAGE IN DEFICIENT AREAS OF LAHORE (PHASE-I)

The Government in May 2000 approved a major project costing Rs.371.000 million for the improvement of Sewerage and Drainage in deficient areas of Lahore City, which is being implemented. On completion of the Project living environments and quality of services will improve salient features.

CLEANING OF DRAINS AND SEWERS

Sewers of Circular Road, Auto Market Badami Bagh, Main Ciruclar Road,Sher Shah Wali Shrine, Badshahi Mosque opposite Iqbal Park, having 180 km. length have been desilted in order to give maximum relief to the residents of Lahore Walled City area having population of 4.000 Lac. |
